Running skills development sessions will always be seen as a positive step by employees, it has been claimed.
Writing for Business 2 Community, Kate Simmons said workers recognise the benefits of training in terms of improving their performance levels.
She said that even though this may require putting some additional hours in, most workers are willing to embrace the development agenda.
Ms Simmons noted that business leaders can run training sessions themselves, or bring in an outside specialist to help.
"Sometimes it is necessary for a leader to get in experts to ensure the optimum growth and development of its company," she stated.
"This is something that every business, no matter what size, should be considering."
Equally, development sessions can be delivered on the normal company premises, or off-site using specialist training room facilities.
