Social distancing/hygiene measures
In the current climate, with COVID-19 still a threat that we are all having to adapt to, it is more important than ever to be conscious of health issues when choosing a training room.

Having sufficient space to facilitate social distancing needs to be a top priority, in order to make sure the session is safe for everyone.

It is also worth looking into the cleaning practices of the provider: knowing that the facilities are frequently and thoroughly cleaned gives all attendees that extra peace of mind, so that they find it easier to concentrate.

At &Meetings, we have worked hard to make sure our facilities are safe for everyone. For more than a decade we have had our own in-house cleaning division, so we have complete control over our hygiene standards, which we ensure are always to the highest level – our experience has given us a clear insight into which places are touched most often and so therefore require the most attention.

In addition to our regular deep cleans, we are using a fogging process, which creates a completely sterilised area for up to 30 days – this is then repeated monthly.

Using heat mapping technology in our receptions, we will be able to identify people who have symptomatic temperatures – they will be asked to repeat the test and if still high they may be refrained from entering the building.

Using clear guidelines on the floor, we will also be encouraging social distancing, and hand sanitiser gel dispensers will be present in communal areas and receptions.

We take hygiene incredibly seriously. Read the full article here.

Location
The location of the venue, and how convenient it is, should be one of the most important factors. Ideally you want somewhere with good transport links and nearby food establishments.

If you are leaving your office for the day to attend a training venue, you need to find somewhere that is worth travelling to. In an ideal world, you will be able to source a top quality venue relatively nearby, which will help you and your attendees to get away from normal work so you can focus entirely on getting the most out of the training session.

Layout
The layout of a training room is crucial, with flexible options being the ideal scenario – you will need to consider the social distancing guidelines, at least for the time being. at &Meeting we will automatically upgrade clients to a larger room at no extra cost to provide for social distancing.

Technology
The appropriate technology is vital for any training session, to keep your audience engaged throughout. Items such as projectors and screens are essential for presentations, while reliable wireless broadband is nearly impossible to cope without.
